Elysian Falls Art Park is a small family business nestled in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. As a condition of winning the international OMGfund competition in 2022, our world first aircrete dome home is currently exclusively listed for holiday let on the Airbnb website.
The Aircrete Dome at Elysian Falls is idyllically set on 8 acres of lush hinterland rainforest in a hidden valley on Ensbey Road in Flaxton. With our own private creek and two private waterfalls, a stay in the aircrete dome offers the best of the hinterland getaway experience. Enjoy a family escape or romantic getaway for two. Immerse in the peaceful sounds of nature when you stay in this truly unique world first dome home built by sculptor Cath Wild. Cath is one of four Australian winners of the Airbnb OMGfund prize for her efforts in building this amazing space. She is also the first person in the world to achieve council permission to build a home from aircrete. It has taken three years to complete the dome build and fit it out, including hand making the 6000 aircrete bricks to make the shell structure. - please note that a surcharge of $200 is required for use of the wood fired hot tub. this covers approx 5 hours of owners time to fill the tub and heat it to comfortable temperature, the hardwood bags required to heat it, and nearly 2000l of tank water required to fill the tub. We require 24 hours notice of required use and payment in cash on arrival. Under no circumstances are guests allowed to attempt to fill or use the hot tub without host permission and assistance, to avoid personal injury or property damage). Guests will be liable for any damage such unassisted use may incur. Once filled it is able to be used for up to 2-3 days before needing to be drained. Additional firewood for extended use is available at the local IGA in Mapleton approximately 6 minutes drive away.

Terms and Conditions
- Smoking is permitted outside only. Please dispose of your butts in the ashtrays provided and not in the gardens.
- An Ozzikleen septic green system is installed. Please use the ecofriendly products provided and do not put anything but toilet paper down the toilet to avoid damage and repair callouts to this system
- Elysian Falls facilities are for paying guests only – no unauthorized visitors.
- The Aircrete Dome is NOT a party house
- Please seek pre-approval for your visitors. All visitors must leave the premises by 8pm or extra guest charges may apply.
- Rate is per couple per night based on a couple sharing a queen bed. If both beds are used for two people then additional linen charges will apply. Maximum 4 guests. $60 per extra person per night.
- As we hold your booking in good faith, we operate under the Airbnb cancellation policy. Refer to the policy when making your booking online.
- It is suggested that guests seek travel insurance to cover cancellations, loss of deposits, medical and other emergencies.
- Guests are responsible for damage, loss or theft from the Aircrete Dome house and Elysian Falls grounds.
- Guests are required to do their dishes, take the rubbish to the outside bin, and leave the Aircrete Dome in a clean state on their departure. A cleaning surcharge may apply if the Aircrete Dome is left in a big mess by guests on their checkout.
